Relocation of cylinder motor, Peiner Träger GmbH

In March 2017, DSD Montagetechnik GmbH has been awarded the contract for the dismantling, transport and erection of a 10MW-cylinder motor from Dortmund to Peine, and also for the transport and erection of an 10m intermediate shaft as well as the engineering for the adaption works. Client is Peiner Träger GmbH.

In Dortmund, the motor was in use as the main drive of the roll stand within the closed down sheet pile line at HSP Hoesch Spundwand und Profil GmbH. In week 18/2017 the motor has been dismantled by use of a lift frame and has been transported via SPMT’s to the near port, where the 185 to weighing component has been loaded on a barge by use of two 500to mobile cranes. The unloading by crawler crane took place in week 19/2017 from the barge on the Mittelland Canal directly on the area of Peiner Träger GmbH.

In Peine, they will use the motor as the new main drive for the universal stand of the “Schwere Träger Straße”.

Due to organisational changes, Peiner Träger GmbH stopped the project by end of June 2017. Until then, DSD finalized the engineering works, the supply of the intermediate shaft and the erection of the motor. The client will put the motor into operation at a later stage.
