Hot-blast pipes at blast furnace 4

With regard to the planned new blast furnace 4 at Dillinger Hütte, Pault Wurth R&E asigned DSD Montagetechnik GmbH with the task of overhauling the hot-blast stove's pipeline systems.

DSD performes the following services:

• Detail-engineering and manufacturing of pipelines
• Disassembly of existing pipeline systems
• Replacement of various compensators, fittings, nozzles and flanges
• Assembly of new pipeline systems of the hot-blast system

Approx. 360 metric tons of steel construction and pipeline material are disassembled, 248 metric tons are manufactured and supplied, and 360 metric tons are assembled.

Starting at the beginning of July 2016, disassembly and assembly will be caried out over a pre-defined period of 90 days, during which the new blast furnace will be delivered.
